Lorelei chuckled nervously before waving Rory off. "No she's fine, really; adorable." She said before rising to her feet again. "But if you're really as overworked as you sound, I love kids. So if you ever need a hand, I'd be happy to help sit or whatever." Lorelei offered before pausing and making a face.

"Er, well, actually never mind. That's pretty forward of me, you just met me the other night so that's weird to offer babysitting." She said quickly, shaking her head in embarrassment.

"Oh no, I mean, it's a little weird, but that's okay! Weird can be good too! Yeah, weird is okay." Rory said, tripping over his words as he wallowed in his own embarrassment. Working with people, it should go without saying that he was usually able to conquer his embarrassment and whatnot, however, being around Lorelei made him drivel "stupid" everywhere uncontrollably.

"Um well, thanks for everything. You know, umlendingmethetowelandstandingspaceonyourboatbutIshouldgonow." Lorelei said, starting out okay but as it usually goes for her, all her words jumbled together before she put her head down and started to climb back up to the docks.

"Oh uh...o-"

Fiona wiggled herself free of Rory's grasp and promptly turned to step on his foot, earning a brief yowl, before pointing after Lorelei while she tried to make her quick escape.

"Ask her to come over for dinner sometime this week!" She demanded while Rory held onto his foot, doing a one footed dance.

Lorelei kept her head down to hide her flushed face as she carefully but tactfully moved about the boat before approaching the dock to help herself up.

"But I barely know her. Is that even acceptable?" Rory asked, not doubting for a second that his younger sister held all the keys to relationships and the foreplay leading up to it.

"Of course it is! You're just making her dinner, hanging out! Now ask!" Fiona scolded, earning a quick nod from her elder brother.

"Uh, Lorelei! Wait a second!" He hollered after her.

Lorelei had her hands on the dock and was about to pull herself. She looked over her shoulder at him, her bright and shiny blue eyes blinking at Rory as she paused to respond to him.

"Yes?" SHe inquired.

"Uh, I know we just met and everything, and for all intents and purposes, you're still a stranger to me and I'm a stranger to you, but...do you want to come over sometime this week? Have dinner with me, I mean, me and my family." Rory said, swallowing a nervous knot in his throat as his cheeks lit up.

Lorelei blushed furiously; confused and surprised.

"R-really?" She asked, as though it were some kind of joke. "I mean, you would really want me to? Would that be okay?"

"Yeah, I  mean, so long as you promise not to be a murdering rapist or anything, we should be fine." Rory joked before realizing that his joke may have been considered borderline offensive. "Not that you are or anything!" He sputtered.

"Oh um yeah, sure." Lorelei nodded before quickly shaking her head. "I mean yeah I'll come over, not yeah I'm a rapist or murder. Cause I'm not." She sputtered quickly.

"Perfect then. Uh, if you want, I can give you my number and you can go ahead and give me a ring, or if yo uwant, I can take yours." Rory said. He turned to go below to retrieve a pen to only find that Fiona had beat him to the punch, standing behind him with a pen and paper in hand with a cheeky grin.

"Uh yeah, I'll just give you mine." Lorelei nodded as she moved away from the dock. Taking the paper she lifted her leg to use it as a surface to write on, jotting down her cell phone number and land line.

"Alright, perfect." Rory nodded as he watched Lorelei scrawl out her number.
